Fun- Ranak is carefree about a lot of things, so you could see him not always taking things seriously. Some might call it a bit crazy, but he doesn’t care[/li
Stability- What this means is that he likes the safety that his pack can get, as long as they’re happy So is he
The upper hand- As someone who leads a pack, he definitely appreciates having the upper hand in a situation
Dislikes
Boredom- Ranak likes to live an exciting life, so keeping busy is something he likes to do
Losing- He can be competitive, if anything it’s just his playful side that hates losing
Threats- Everyone hates threats, but Ranak feels that threatening his pack is just another thing to deal with
Disrespect- He can't stand the disrespect he could receive from someone, leaving him holding a grudge
Despite Ranak’s cold and intimidating appearance, he is pretty relaxed about many things. As someone who’s carefree about many things, Ranak isn’t one to stick to what he’s promised or even about others who aren’t in his pack. Don’t mistake him for being careless of others, because he certainly does care for others who are in his pack which makes him quite an understanding guy, but anyone else and Ranak will gladly step over a few bodies to protect people or his land.
As a Tamaskan dog, it’s easy to underestimate his capabilities of getting things done and threatening others when he needs to, because he is an unfair fighter. Not entirely strong compared to someone of wolf size but he is fast and swift with how he fights, not always fighting fairly but to Ranak survival is his concern and not honour. He resembles a wolf but he certainly isn’t one, leaning more towards a rare breed of dog.
At the moment, he just sees life as it comes to him, trying to get the fun out of it with ease while still finding a way of living. This mindset has probably reflected in his pack as he tends to strive for a close, friendly yet strong group.
Ranak, though sometimes a little uncaring to outsiders, is pretty neutral. He’s neither good nor bad, just trying to be fair and sees things as how it is. He tries to spend most of his time with others in his pack, having found to prefer the company of his pack rather than the solitude, so this makes him quite talkative at times and confident. Though this can make him pretty oblivious to something serious, since he sees the light in situations to have a laugh about it rather than taking it seriously.
History
Ranak was brought overseas specifically for the purpose of acting as a trophy to a relatively well off couple. He wasn't a pet, he was part of the furniture of the house and an accessory outside, existing to impress others. So in a sense, Ranak lived a pretty easy and carefree lifestyle, all he had to do was flaunt his looks and naturally walk his proud way alongside a human. Though, within a year he quickly grew bored of this, seeing that others like himself lead a different life that involved work or just doing something more worthwhile. He just had to look pretty.
So, he let the boredom get to him quite easily. At first he brushed off everything and accepted his life for what it is, but what if he could change that? When someone becomes bored easily, they find different interests, which is exactly what Ranak did. Although living in a fairly large and secure house, he took every opportunity he could to examine the outdoors. If he was lucky, he could get away through the garden and find his way back without being noticed. After all, he was a decoration and people tend to obliviously walk past their decor now and then.
He had to wonder if there was more to life than this.
The Tamaskan started living two lives. One life was at home by his owner's side, the other was much rougher. He interacted with dogs who weren't able to have a roof over their heads. Some he was fine with, talking with them about the gossip on the street. Ranak knew he was the pampered dog with a home walking among the alleyways, but that didn't mean others had to chase him off for it. Of course, it started off with just being friendly with the neighbours on the streets. But soon it turned into something else, it turned into somewhat of a gang. If something happened, Ranak would hear about it.
The sky struck through life, quite literally, changing everything. Not long after humans started to die off, leaving people like Ranak to fend for themselves. Had his prayers for change been answered? He must have been doing something right. Or maybe he was just lucky. The funny thing was, Ranak's owners hadn't died yet, not like the rest of the other's owners had done. They were ill though. He was caught up in the moment, black and white, life and death. He had the power to choose.
Was it just to do what he was thinking? No.
Maybe this 'dome' was a sort of blessing, in a weird way. He drew first blood by his own teeth for the first time, it wasn't joyful or even exciting, it was just instinct that he couldn’t explain. He regretted it, he didn’t need to kill them. Ranak told himself it was merciful to kill them rather than dying slowly. Deep down, he found the power exciting bit he’d never admit that.
After that, Ranak hit the streets. It wasn't that difficult to round up the few he had befriended. Dogs left and right going mad, deformed into something else or just stayed the same. This was a new start, and he could control his path this time. A couple seasons later, The Velosters Pack was formed. It’s started off as just a group of friends to a pack, accepting anyone who wished to seek refuge and a way to start again. Ranak enjoyed living with people who were more like himself, ashamed of how he lived before since he wasn’t as free but to him it has brought him responsibility to take in and care for others, and he continues to do so.
